Not a good experience
by Anoniem onHello, My name is David Yaeli, case # 26278374. I live in Manhattan, and it took me 1.5 hours to get to the IKEA store in Brooklyn. I then shop at the store for a few hours buying furniture for my apartment. I spend $1,618.08. I chose the pick up, delivery, and assembly option. It then takes me 1.5 hours to get home. I choose my delivery date of Wednesday, August 5th between 3pm-9pm and wait until 7pm to get my furniture. I completely understand that this is the process, and I am totally okay with that. I am just trying to paint a clear picture for you. The dilvery person comes around 7pm, and I saw right away that the wrong slats were delivered. I ordered a full size brusali bed frame and luroy full slats. The slats delivered were queen size slats. Also, the FNISS white trashcan I purchased came beat up. I then waited 1 hour on the phone talking to an IKEA representative who said it could take up to 3 days to get a call back. Also, the assembly guy did not finish until 10:30pm on a week day. That night, I had to sleep with my bed frame on its side and my mattress on the floor. The next day I decide to go all the way back to IKEA Brooklyn to purchase the full size slats, and carry them all the way home. The pick up of the queen slats were scheduled for Sunday, August 9 between 8am-8pm and no one showed up. I have wasted so much time with IKEA. I did get my delivery charge taken off ($99) but I expect more of a refund. I still need to get a refund on the queen size slats that were supposed to get picked up on Sunday, August 9th. I have no more time to waste waiting around for IKEA. Just now, I called IKEA and spoke to a customer service representative for an hour and was told I would either have to go to the store or that she would send me labels for a fed ex return which could take up to one month. This is not acceptable to me. I am not going to the IKEA Brooklyn store for a third time. My case # is 26278374. Please advise me on what I can do or issue me a refund for the queen size bed slats and beat up FNISS white trash can that was supposed to be picked up August 9th but never was.

by Anoniem onI won't buy furniture anywhere else. The prices are great, the furniture is easy to assemble, and it's strudy without being super heavy. I've even bought some pieces for my cats and they like it as much as I do.
